ALI CURRIE TAKES ON THE REBELLE RALLY - STAGE 6

REBELLE RALLY | STAGE 6

Stage 6 had a grand contrast of terrains with rock crawling in Johnson Valley and cruising the sand dunes of Glamis. The teams took off on the lake bed straight into a precision enduro where they had to hit checkpoints in a correct order or risk penalties. Ali and Keri found themselves in a groove and were clicking off points before heading off for Glamis.

Before they would get there, they would head through the yucca filled landscape of Joshua Tree National Park and the dystopian land of Slab City and Salvation Mountain.

Once in Glamis they would navigate through sand highway and Oldsmobile, ending in a smaller section of dunes that can be tougher than large dunes that have a easier flow to them. They stayed calm and we're able to maneuver through them into the final basecamp.

We started off Stage 6 in Johnson Valley and I got to rock crawl for the first time! Keri and I we’re clicking really well today and our time management skills were right on point. We got ourselves into some tricky sand dunes but we kept our composure, worked through it and made our way to basecamp. Tomorrow is our final day and I can’t wait to get back out there.

Today will be 100% sand dunes with the stage circum-navigating the perimeter of Glamis. Ali and Keri sit 15th going into the final day and are going to push hard for every point!
