ALI CURRIE TAKES ON THE REBELLE RALLY - FINAL STAGE

REBELLE RALLY | FINAL STAGE

Ali finished the Rebelle Rally! After 8 days and 1200 miles she crossed the finish line with a huge smile. The goal was to finish the rally and take in as much knowledge as possible and mission accomplished. She had zero issues with the Jeep, never getting stuck and never having to work on the vehicle. She even helped another competitor get unstuck from the dunes today.

Mission accomplished! Our goal was to finish the Rebelle Rally and we have done it. I’ve never driven in the desert and with no navigation experience I had a blast learning how to navigate the desert and how to drive the Jeep. Now I can take all the knowledge from this trip and take the year to focus on the skills to come back in 2021!

The day consisted of multiple checkpoints around the perimeter of the twisting labyrinth that is Glamis. Multiple teams would run into issues getting stuck in the sand either relying on other teams to un-wedge them or take the penalty and have outside assistance come to the rescue.

Today the teams finally get to sleep in for the first time since the start of trip and their usual call time of 5am. The day consists of an extracurricular challenge, media interviews and an Awards Gala right here in the sand before the competitors take off their separate ways for home.
