ALI CURRIE TAKES ON THE REBELLE RALLY - MARATHON STAGE 4 AND 5

REBELLE RALLY | MARATHON STAGE 4 AND 5

Stage 4 started the marathon stage, Ali and Keri left Ridgecrest and made their way to the scenic Trona Pinnacles. From there it was a quick highway section to the podunk town of Ballarat before dropping into Death valley and onto Dumont Dunes. They quickly aired down and got their first taste of sand dunes before they were on their own for the night!

The women would go without the food and shower amenities they've grown accustomed to over the past couple basecamps. If they needed to work on their vehicle's they had to use whatever they have on them or risk taking a penalty.

After a night in the sand away from the basecamp, the marathon stage picked right back up in the Dumont Dunes with competitors maneuvering throughout the spines to find checkpoints. From there the teams would work their way south on a long freeway section pushing through Baker as the temperatures pushed into the triple digits. Testing the women and the vehicles alike.

Stage 4 was full of amazing scenic views, we drove on roads I would’ve never dreamed of visiting. It took us through Death Valley and onto the Dumont Dunes for our first real taste of sand. With it being marathon stage we got to rough it with our fellow competitors away from the amenities of our standard basecamp. We had to make our own food which ended up being beef stroganoff in a bag! It was a such cool experience and I would love to do it again. We woke up and it was back into the dunes before making our way to our new basecamp in Johnson Valley. We’ve got two days left of competition and we’re going to stay focused and strive to be better!

The competitors have finished the marathon stage and are now in Johnson Valley for the night. They'll be navigating the rock filled desert before traveling through Joshua Tree towards the border and the Glamis sand dunes.
