Monster Energy invited us out Virginia International Raceway to checkout Hyperfest and we had a blast! From drifting the Mahle Mustang to hanging out in the Offroad loop to checking out all of the awesome cars people brought to watching the racing and drift demos. There is pretty much something for everyone at this event!

We head to the midwest for the Hot Rod Power Tour! We take my '67 Camaro, the Mahle Mustang and our Jeep Gladiator on 42's for the 5 day road trip. Making stops in Norwalk, Dayton, Indianapolis, St. Louis and Champaign, with small visits to a little town maybe named after Casey which was home to a bunch of the worlds largest things! Like the worlds largest rocking chair. We watched a bunch of enthusiasts run their cars down the drags and a couple burn down some tires.

On this episode of the vlog we head down to Pipa Beach in Brazil in preparation for the Sertões Rally. A 10 day stage rally that navigates the northern parts of Brazil. We handle registration and get the Polaris RZR setup as well get a taste of the local cuisine and the beautiful coastline.

Short recap for the Stage 9 of the Sertões Rally in Brazil, Arapiraca to Tamandare. The race is done!! Wow that was an amazing experience. 8th overall out of 90 UTVs. We have lots to take home and we will be back. The race is very fast paced and very close. Every day top 35 are within 10 minutes. The terrain is some of the best I have ever raced and everyone is so nice. Thank you to RZR for the experience and the entire team. 10 days of driving and 2500 miles of racing.

Short recap for the Stage 7 of the Sertões Rally in Brazil, Delmiro Gouveia to Arapiraca. Stage 8 was a good one! Rivers, sand, mud fast roads and crazy tights sections with barb wire on both sides. Looks like we have moved up to 8th overall. Slowly digging ourselves out of the hole I put us in from the start. Having a total blast. I can’t say it enough. I will be telling stories for a long time.

Short recap for the Stage 7 of the Sertões Rally in Brazil, Petrolina to Delmiro Gouveia. Stage 7 was a wild one. We raced on what felt like marbles, it was an ice rink. It took lots of car control and it was a challenge. I put it into the bushes a couple times. 🤦🏻‍♂️ The second half the special we had some issues with our clutch and the car went into limp mode many times. Still a good finish and one of the most amazing stages with sand and huge cliff walls.

Short recap for the Marathon Stage 5 and 6 of the Sertões Rally in Brazil, Sao Raimundo Nonato to Xique-Xique and then Xique-Xique to Petrolina. Sleeping in a Tent without a shower on the Marathon stage! We had a rough stage 5. The first half was epic and we were charging, passing a bunch of guys. Then the sand came and we weren’t ready to slow down. Without a belt temp gauge it was difficult to know how hot it was. We lost 1 belt then backed it down 20 percent and then lost another. We then stopped and pulled the side cover off to finish the stage. Today, stage 6, we pushed hard all day. No issues for our RZR we felt good with the terrain and it was a lot of wide open roads and fast sections. The dust was really bad as we started further back. Now back in the top 10 for starting tomorrow and we get to run with the fast guys. Let’s keep this train moving!

Short recap for stage 4 of the Sertões Rally in Brazil, Sao Raimundo Nonato loop. Stage 4 complete! 1 mistake today in a corner that cost me some time. I jacked my wrist up but going to wrap it and keep pushing. I thought I could plow a 3 foot tall rock. Didn’t work. I also slid into a tree but didn’t lose much time running it over. 🤷🏻‍♂️ moving up in the overall and having a blast in the process. Learning and enjoying Brazil. Stage 5 and 6 are a marathon stage. No team assistance to help and sleeping in tents tomorrow night.

Short recap for stage 3 of the Sertões Rally in Brazil from Araripina to Sao Raimundo Nonato. Stage 3 was a bummer for us. A rock got wedged between the wheel and caliper putting a hole in the rim and damaging the caliper. We lost some time but gained on the overall. Now sitting 14th overall. 6 days to go!

Jeepers Jamboree was back this year for its 69th Annual! We headed up California on Wednesday and hit the trail. No cell phone service for 5 days on one of the best trips of the year. The trees and terrain are amazing on the rubicon trail. We went hiking, fishing and the live band always makes for a killer send off to end the week. We can't wait for next year!

Short recap for stage 2 of the Sertões Rally in Brazil from Patos to Araripina. Learning is the Key! Pushed hard from start to finish. Lots of dust and we ended up 3rd overall and 2nd in class. My Polaris RZR had no issues and I’m loving this terrain.

Short recap for stage 1 of the Sertões Rally in Brazil. Wow what an experience today was! Brazil terrain is what every American racing Baja wants. It’s basically hwy 3 to Mike’s Sky Ranch all day. Fast, technical, lots of navigational notes, and the pace is crazy! We ran basically wide open all day. They run off Stella but use an option for passing that we should implement in the states. More on that in a future post! My RZR is running good and just wow what a blast we had! #TeamRZR

Take a look at our full run from the Prologue Stage of the 2021 Sertões Rally in Brazil! It’s pretty awesome racing in the sugar cane farms.

The trails out in Sand Hollow are so much fun and we ended the day at the V-Notch. Thousands of comments later you tell me if it's real or fake?

It's been a year and a half since Sean and I were taking on a Rally Race so it feels great to get back to it! We test out the Polaris RZR that was built for the 2021 Dakar Rally and work on getting back in the groove. We had another weird issue with our exhaust blowing a second hole in the muffler but we were able to still win the Stage. Check it out!

Big News!!! I am excited for the opportunity to join Team Polaris. My involvement at Currie Enterprises and the brands working together on a business front as well as the opportunity to head back to Dakar and get support at a Factory Race Team level are both big reasons for the change. The products and the innovation coming from Polaris are top notch and the future is bright. We have many projects coming this year with Team RZR. We will be heading to the Hammers to Race, and hitting the road to find some epic spots to ride. I can't wait to start the journey! #TeamRZR
